Robin Thicke’s hit tune Blurred Lines has been declared the most-downloaded song in chart history.
The track topped the Official Charts Company’s digital poll after shifting 1.54 million copies since its release in May 2013. This is also despite the fact that the track and video came under a lot of scrutiny!
Blurred Lines beat Adele’s Someone Like You and Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera’s Moves Like Jagger to the top spot; they landed in second and third place, respectively.
Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know and the Black Eyed Peas’ I Gotta Feeling rounded out the top five on the countdown, which was released to mark the chart’s 10th anniversary.
No doubt Miley Cyrus and her twerking to it helped too.
