Iggy Azalea has been confirmed as a X Factor Australia judge.
Azalea, who was born in Sydney, is known for her hits including Fancy and Trouble and for working with the likes of Ariana Grande and Rita Ora.
When asked by the Sydney Confidential about her role on the show, Azalea said “I really didn’t picture myself being a judge on any kind of television show but I think that actually this could be a good fit for me, so I said yes”.
The star is set to replace Dannii Minogue on the judging panel when the show returns for its eight series this year. Dannii revealed earlier this year that she had quit the show after 3 years on the panel to focus on motherhood and relaunching her music career.
Last year Minogue was joined on the panel by UK singer James Blunt, rockstar Chris Isaac and Australian singer Guy Sebastian. It is believed that Blunt and Isaac won’t return either.
