Clare Balding has cleared up rumours about her presenting Channel 4´s Great British Bake Off.
The show, which moves channels next year and will also lose judge Mary Berry and presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, has seen many names been thrown about on who will replace them.
But the TV presenter has revealed she won’t be joining Paul Hollywood in the tent.
Talking on ITV’s Lorraine, she told host Lorraine Kelly: “No. I’m very flattered because it’s such a wonderful show and I love watching it but I really can’t cook, I seriously can’t cook.
“I once had a recipe that said to toast the pecan nuts or something and I put them in the toaster.
“And I slightly think that supermarkets are going to do it all for you, I know that’s a terrible thing to say.
“I do chop my vegetables obviously, I don’t buy them pre-chopped. And I can do salads but I’ve never made a soup or a cake in my life, ever.”
