According to The Hollywood Reporter, Shawn Mendes is set for the big screen courtesy of upcoming movie musical Summer of Love.

Fellow Canadian Ivan Reitman has wrote the screenplay and will also be directing it too with his production company paying for the development.

Although the full story line is being kept under wraps, the film will likely be set in the summer of 1967, when over 75,000 young people migrated to San Francisco’s Haight-Asbury neighborhood in opposition to the Vietnam War.

Just in case you forgot – the 18-year-old has previously voiced a character in the 2013 animation Underdogs and guest starred in The 100 too.
