Beyoncé is reportedly the top choice for the role of Nala in Disney’s The Lion King remake.
Disney is set to remake many classics in the upcoming years and one of them is the 1994 animated film The Lion King. Following the huge success of The Jungle Book, director Jon Favreau is set to also direct the remake of The Lion King, but no release date has been confirmed.
However it seems casting is well underway and Donald Glover has already been cast as Simba in the remake and James Earl Jones will provide the voice of Mufasa, reprising his role from the original 1994 film.
But when it comes to the voice of Nala, Beyonce is apparently Favreau’s “top choice.” According to Variety, he is willing to do “whatever it takes” to accommodate the singer.
