Home and Away is marking its 30th anniversary this year (18), and bosses are hoping to pull out all the stops to mark the occasion.
Now it has been suggested that former star Dannii Minogue is top of their returns list. The 46-year-old played Emma Jackson in the soap from 1989 until 1990, when her character left Summer Bay to work as a flight attendant. During a recent interview with Australia’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, Dannii admitted she’s “totally” open for a return to the show.
“The producers have definitely made contact,” she teased. “But If I did it, I’d want it to be short and sharp, in and out, because those schedules are huge.”
It’s not the first time Dannii has expressed an interest in reprising her role on the soap either, with her telling TV Week magazine: “I’d love to get back on the Home and Away set and have a revisit. I think anything is possible with the right scriptwriters. I think it would be fun. There are a few old friends there who were there when I was on, so it could be great.”
