The X Factor judge’s categories have reportedly been handed out for the new series.
Ahead of the six chair challenge the panel are told which category they will be mentoring and according to number sources they been handed out already.
It has been reported that Simon Cowell gets the Girls, Louis Tomlinson will coach the Boys, Robbie William has the Groups and Ayda Field Williams will take control of the Overs.
Louis Tomlinson might just be on to a winner with the boys. As one-fifth of The X Factor’s biggest success story One Direction, Louis knows all about the process of the show and with his own solo success too he’s certainly going to do well.
This year will also see another twist in the show to ramp up the pressure of the six chair challenge even more. Traditionally the six chair challenge gives each X Factor judge six places to give to the acts they want to send through to the judges’ houses stage with people getting swapped about a lot. But now there is the ‘Golden X’ (basically golden buzzer from Britain’s Got Talent) and when the judge buzzes it gives the artist a guaranteed seat. This means the act will go straight through to judges houses.
The judge is unable to change their mind later on so they have to be certain not to make a mistake and miss out on another act.
