Olly Murs will release a new album this year.
The Voice UK coach’s record label’s president, David Dolliomore of RCA Records, has revealed they are aiming for the 34-year-old star to put out a new album before 2018 is out. The president is also hoping that he is hoping “clever marketing and digital campaigns” will help Olly do well with streaming as well as CD formats.
David explained to MusicWeek magazine “He [Olly] just puts great records out.
“He does have a more physical audience, but with clever marketing campaigns and digital campaigns, who knows? It might stream bucket-loads – we’ve just got to wait and see how the audience reacts.”
The singer has reached number one in the UK with four out of five of his albums, with the exception of his debut self-titled LP, which made it to number two in 2010.
Olly has took to twitter to tease the new album too, tweeting: “Soon”
