Tessa Thompson is to join the live-action reboot of Disney’s ‘Lady and the Tramp’.

According to Deadline.com, the 34-year-old actress is in negotiations to voice the lead role of Lady the cocker spaniel in the forthcoming flick, opposite Justin Theroux who will voice Tramp.

The film which will air on the studio’s soon-to-be launched digital streaming service next year also sees Benedict Wong voicing Bull, an English bulldog, Kiersey Clemons playing the character of Darling and Ashley Jensen voicing a Scottish Terrier named Jackie.

Filmmaker Charlie Bean has agreed to direct, Brigham Taylor is producing the picture and Andrew Bujalski is penning the script.
