Double Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock has backed the idea of same-sex couples on Strictly Come Dancing.
The champ, who appeared on the show in 2017 with dance partner Oti Mabuse, told the Press Association: “I would be more than happy for it. I think it’s something that would be really cool to see.”
Strictly judges Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas have supported the idea of same-sex couples and dancing pro Kevin Clifton said he would be happy to dance with another man on the show.
The BBC1 series however has previously confirmed that it has “no plans” to change the mixed-sex format this year.
